he loves me, he loves me not...
the tradition of throwing rice has never sounded terribly romantic to me. for alternatives, i had tossed around several ideas:
*sparklers (suggested by my dear corrie pellerin)
*releasing butterflies
*glitter as confetti (as seen in fim candy with heath ledger)
so...
in an effort to be more green and to respect serenbe's self-sustaining way of life, i am really considering throwing dried peony or hydrangea petals. sort of nostalgic and earth-friendly, no...albeit a tad cheesy. what do y'all think?

i love that idea! ive actually kept petals from every bouquet of flowers toby has given me. ive kept them in miscellaneous vases and glass jars, with the exception of the first rose he gave me, its pressed into a picture frame with a photo of us when he surprised me for my birthday.
ReplyDeleteyour wedding is going to be amazing, i cant wait to see the photographs!
The petals idea sounds loveliest to me. My cousin used sparklers for her wedding and I kept feeling like something or someone was going to catch on fire because we were all standing so closely in the line. We also had to keep lighting more and more because it was taking them a little bit to come out and the sparklers kept going out.
ReplyDeletewonderful! well done, branch!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the peony confetti. I have a box full now. Love the smell and the slightly browny vintagy tinge!
